FAQ

1 - How can I find subtitles for YouTube video?

Let's say you want to find subtitles for Singin' in the rain video.

You must just copy URL (page address) of current video on YouTube.com:

Copy YouTube video URL

And paste it to Subyo search field and click "Find" button:

Paste YouTube video URL

Then you will have list of all available subtitles for this video. Enjoy.

2 - How to make subtitles?

Click "Add subtitles" on the home page.

You will see the first step where you must set two parameters: language of your subtitles (Subyo will automatically choose language you've choose during registration) and URL of YouTube video you will translate. Then click "Next »":

In the second step you will see video you've choose in the previous step and a big text field below - here you will put your subtitles. When you click big green button "Add time" the video will be paused and current time will be added to text field.

Subtitles format looks like this:

00:01 Subtitle text
00:03 Subtitle second text
...

There must be a space between time and text.

The subtitle will be shown until next subtitle apear but not longer than 4 seconds.

If you want to break the line then you should write |. Example:

00:01 Subtitle text
00:03 Subtitle second|text

You don't need to reload the page to see changes - you can add subtitles while video is playing.
